After introducing the issue, I read the first 11 verses of Lamentations 3 as leaders formed a pile of bricks and t-lights. We then prayed for a those who had lost their lives, those who were injured and those who were bringing relief. Simple, short and powerful.

It was Ian Adams who brought the book of Lamentations to my attention: it speaks of the destruction of a city, and a glimmer of hope. Thank you, Ian.

There was prayer. Even in this essential inhospitable environment, there was prayer. There was a lovely photo of the bricks etc on Lou’s phone, but I can’t extract it.

Still. There was prayer. Thank you Lord.
