Recording is done straight off the mixing desk to a MiniDisc player. I then have to record that onto the PC from the Mic In via SoundForge. Is there a better way of digitally extracting sound off a Sony MZ-R700 Minidisc without this analogue middle bit?
Do you have a USB connection for the minidisc? If so, try using Audacity.
Otherwise, no, I don’t think there is, sadly.
We record onto a CF Card and then edit that in Audacity, but that meant buying a digital recorder, and we have a lot bigger sound system than you!
