Ordinary 7, Year A
In the name of the +Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Grace, mercy and peace from God Our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit be with you all
and also with you
Lord, your mercy is my hope, my heart rejoices in your saving power. I will sing to the Lord for his goodness to me. (Psalm 13:6)
My dear friends in Christ, we come together this morning to offer this holy sacrifice to Almighty God, our heavenly Father as hear the radical call to love even those whom we despise, and even harder, might despise us.
A warm welcome to you all, as we pray with special intention for the life, work and witness of the parish, filled with grace and hope for the work of God in our lives.
So, my dear friends, as we gather to meet God in Word and Sacrament we prepare ourselves by first calling to mind our sins.
Let us pray
keep before us the wisdom and love
you have revealed in your Son.
Help us to be like him
in word and deed,
for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
If anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my Father will love him
God has made us one in Christ.
He has set his seal upon us
and, as a pledge of what is to come,
has given the Spirit to dwell in our hearts.
The peace of the Lord be always with you
and also with you
Prayer after Communion
help us to live the example of love
we celebrate in this eucharist,
that we may come to its fulfillment in your presence.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
The Lord be with you
And also with you
The peace of God,
which passes all understanding,
keep your hearts and minds
in the knowledge and love of God,
and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord;
and the blessing of God almighty,
the +Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
be among you and remain with you always.
The mass is ended. Go in the peace of Christ.
Thanks be to God.
