Five years on…

Just want to pause for a moment in prayer for the 52 killed in the London Bombings of 7/7/2005

as well as the countless injured and many more traumatised. The worst part of it all is the new culture of fear and suspicion which reigns over the UK, the increasing use of surveillance and restriction of our (unwritten) rights which as an Englishman, I hold most dear. It has created a new xenophobia and a fear of different cultures and races which is also distinctly un-English. If we let this continue the terrorists will have won.

Freedom. Tolerence. Respect. These are my values. This is my prayer. Candles will be lit today for them, and for this nation: that it does not lose sight of the values which make it special.

Amen.

…and now on a lighter note:

Choose your pathways carefully….
