“Should the NHS allow gipsies to jump the queue” assumes that treatment is not based upon need, which is what the NHS is all about. If the man/woman infront of me is bleeding, with a limb dropping off, I do actually believe that he should be treated before my finger splinter no matter whether s/he is of a different colour skin/ethnicity than me. The insidious supposition behind this just fills me with disbelief.
