Blesséd Candlemas Tour to Canterbury – 30-31st January 2010

I can now confirm the details for the Blesséd tour for Candlemas to the Parishes of S. Mildred & S. Peter’s, Canterbury. It’s a bit different to what I planned, but I hope that many friends, old and new will be able to make the journey.

Saturday 30th January

1pm – Seminar on Creative Sacramental Liturgy with practical workshop on video creation

If you would like, please bring along your own Mac or PC laptop.

If you can, in advance, please add to your PC the Windows Movie Maker program which can be downloaded free from Microsoft: http://download.live.com/moviemaker

If you have a Mac, please ensure you have iMovie on your machine.

I will show you how to create a simple movie for worship using these basic tools, as well as passing on a lot of techniques and vision for the use of technology to support the liturgy (including projection), and the role of creative liturgy in missional worship based upon the experience of Blesséd.

6.30pm – Blesséd Candle Mass (see poster)

Sunday 31st January

11am Preaching for Epiphany 4 at S. Mildred’s Parish Church, Canterbury (like a proper priest!)

Lunch – an opportunity to explore and follow up discussions and opportunities which may have arisen over the weekend.

More information can be obtained from Fr Mark:  mark@canterburycityparish.org.uk or Jamie: jamie@canterburycityparish.org.uk or from their Parish Website at http://www.stpeters-stmildreds.org.uk/

I think it will be a good weekend, with lots to learn and another moving, powerful Blesséd Mass at the heart of it.
